Our first ever wine from Uruguay and this truly highlights the potential to produce elegant and complex wines from this part of the world. The Bodega sits amongst vineyards and olive groves in the rolling hills of Maldonaldo. Renowned flying wine consultant Alberto Antonini advises on all areas of production. This 100% Tannat, more at home in Madiran, SW France, displays power and elegance. The nose is bursting with ripe aromas of black cherry, tobacco and anise, while on the palate a full and generous mouth feel is supported by ripe dark fruits, spice and toasted oak. Tannins are evident yet nicely integrated providing a supporting role to the ripe, mouth coating fruit. Enjoy with rich meat dishes such as game or casseroles.
